Jim Ross Comments On Possibility Of Working WWE WrestleMania XXVII
Earlier this year, rumors flared up that Jim Ross could possibly be offered a send off by commentating World Wrestling Entertainment‘s biggest pay-per-view event of the year.
“Good Ole J.R.” commented on the possibility last evening.
“I have not been informed that I will have any role @ WM27 other than my 3 Axxess appearences,” Jim Ross wrote on his official Twitter account last night in response to a fan.
Speculation is sure to spark back up following the groundwork being laid during last night’s Monday Night RAW telecast when Jerry “The King” Lawler challenged Michael Cole to a match at WrestleMania XXVII. A match that many fans are sure will involve Ross in some capacity.
Ross also let it known that he would be interested in at least calling the match, and would be more interested in doing that than playing a role of a special guest referee.
“If Cole accepts King’s challenge, I’d much rather call the match than referee it if given an option,” Jim Ross added.
While some enjoy Michael Cole‘s heel gimmick, very few actually, most professional wrestling fans long for the return of the WWE Hall Of Fame commentator to the broadcast table. Perhaps this could enough to at least wet their appetite.
