World Wrestling Entertainment and The USA Network have signed a new deal that will keep the WWE’s flagship series on the network through 2014. The New York Times’ Media Decoder column featured a piece on the new deal at this link.
For those that were hoping for TNA to run Phoenix, Arizona during Wrestlemania 26 weekend will sadly be disappointed. The company will be running Stampede Park in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on Saturday 3/27/10, a former stomping ground for Stampede Wrestling. TNA president Dixie Carter labeled the Kurt Angle vs. Desmond Wolfe and A.J. Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Daniels matches as “Matches of the Year” in her quick review of the Turning Point PPV on Twitter.
The EVOLVE promotion has added three wrestlers to its roster. Bobby Fish, T.J. Perkins, and Ricocet are now included as singles wrestlers. For more information, check out Evolvewrestling.com. The EVOLVE promotion is headed by Gabe Sapolsky and Davey Richards. The latter was the first wrestler announced for the promotion. The first show takes place on Jan. 14 in Rahway, N.J.
